Haraju Cube Revisit @ Empire Damansara

Haraju Milk - Coffee (RM 8.90) ~ Not as awesome as the first time. This time too much milk & very very light coffee taste.

Azuki Matcha (RM 25.90).

Azuki Matcha (RM 25.90) ~ Cut 2 corners out and open it like a door.

I love the toast, very tasty. Add the green tea ice cream & cream for extra kick. It's perfect and not sweet. Try to finish the ice cream as soon as possible, it taste slightly bitter once it melts.

We made a mess.

We waited quite a while for our drinks & toast to arrive, not sure why though. There's like an army at the back of the counter preparing. I would understand that the toast takes time but drinks too??. We were talking then we noticed that the table next to us, their drinks got served first even though we ordered first. Anyways the toast is really good, a must try but must be shared unless you're a huge eater.

OOTD.

Haraju Milk: Coffee (RM 8.90) ~ Perfect but it's too little.

Only can fill 2 cups.

We wanted to try the toast but we both were so full from dinner, we ended up having a drink instead. Next time people.

Franco @ The Curve

Cafe Au Lait (RM 8.80) ~ Nice, smooth & no bitter after taste.

Smoked Chicken Ham & Egg (RM 15.80) ~ There was no egg inside. Super happy that they flooded it with cucumber as requested. Bread is tough & hard to eat, tried cutting it using the knife that was provided and I shooked the whole table like an earthquake.

Vegetarian Pasta (RM 24.80) ~ Delicious.

Matcha Souffle (RM 16.80) ~ Outside layer is yummy, inside is slightly too thick.

The food here is not bad, we were almost satisfied with our meal. Almost because the table is so cramp, barely had space to put anything. Cannot even order extra as there is no place on the table. 1/4 of it is occupied by the basket of cutleries. Each time they bring our order we had to squeeze our things one side.

A lady next to our table crossed her legs on the chair which was quite disgusting and rude, we can see the bottom part of her feet which was really uncool. I don't mind if you cross your legs but do it if the table is covered and your feet is not staring at your neighbors. Franco's tables has gaps and the tables are so close to one another especially the ones near the entrance. Another table on our right had a baby who kept crying & crying & crying & crying & squirming & fidgeting which was very disturbing. I understand that baby's can be naughty and noisy all the time but the baby was literally screaming at our ears so please be considerate and bring your baby outside & calm him down. (I was sitting so close that I don't even have to stretch to touch the baby).

Raku Pizza @ SS15

Order at the counter.

We are going to Build Our Own Pizza.

Build Your Own Pizza (RM 7.70): Herbs Dough with Teriyaki Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese.  Added Karaage Chicken (RM 2.80) & Mashed Potato (RM 1.80) ~
My pizza is not bad but I think I would like it if it's slightly thicker. They have plastic cutleries which is basically redundant because I couldn't even cut the pizza with it. I'm afraid if I use to much force that it might snap and stab me.

Added RM 2.50 for Bottomless Soft Drink, Miso Soup & Fried Rice.

Fried Rice (Comes with RM 2.50 set add on) ~ Very bland.

Miso Soup (Comes with RM 2.50 set add on) ~ Extremely salty. I call this the black pool of death.

Build Your Own Pizza (RM 7.70): Charcoal Dough with Wasabi Mayonnaise Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese.
Added Beef Pepperoni (RM 3.80) & Prawn Tempura (RM 5) ~ Feli wasn't too pleased with the thin sliced pepperonis and little pieces of tempura. She's not very impressed with the pizza either. She also thinks that the fried rice is bland and miso soup is very salty.

Be careful when you're eating the charcoal dough because the tiny crumbs gets stuck to your teeth. Your teeth suddenly looked like it got attack by tiny ants. Luckily there's a sink to wash your mouth. Imagine if you didn't notice, your friend will be giggling at you.

Guy at the counter is sweet, I asked him a couple of things since it's my first time here. I was asking things like is which dough is nicer, he took the effort to show me the different doughs. I also asked if Karaage Chicken is same as ham, he said no but it's nice and also offered to show me how it looks like. Karaage Chicken indeed is not bad.

Before we started our meal, for some reason I took a look underneath the table and I took a deep breathe, and I said to Feli, Feli i'm gonna tell you something but don't freak out. Obviously she freaked out even before I said anything. She was already on her feet sweeping her hair. I said I haven't even tell you, anyways there's a dead cockroach under your chair. One of the staff came and step on it with his shoe and drag it outside.

At the end of the meal, they gave us a feedback form. Obviously both of us had to write down things that we are not so happy with. There's the cockroach, the salty miso soup, the bland fried rice, the super thin pieces of pepperoni, little tempuras and plastic cutleries. Feli of course wrote on the entire paper until there is no more space to write. I was being slightly less cruel because the guy was helpful and nice to me. I think this place has a lot of potential but they need to improve on certain things.

Robata Monkey @ Jaya One

Squid Floss (Comp) ~ Keeps you occupy until your meal arrives.

Miso Soup (RM 4) ~ Thick, tasty and ingredients are generous.

Sashimi Salmon (RM 24) ~ Very fresh and portion is generous.

Baby is impressed at how thick the salmon is.

Chawan Mushi (RM 12) ~ Have to wait for about 10-15 minutes. It's a huge chawan mushi, can be shared with 2 people. Nice & flavorful.

Ume Chatsuke (RM 15) ~ Bad, it's basically just rice with soup & some plums.

I'm not good with Japanese food names, they have so many fancy names. If they don't put any English description I'm doomed. For example Gindara Teriyaki is Cod Fish Teriyaki. This I know because is my favorite.

I wanted to try the Ume Chatsuke but I don't know what it is, the description says Ume + Rice - So helpful!!! Seriously!!! So I asked the waiter he said Ume is fish belly. I said ohh fish huh ok great I'll order it. It waited for my Ume quite a while so I ask the lady to check on it but before that I ask Ume is fish right?? She said Ume is plums not fish. I was like WTF!!!!! How did Plums become Fish?!?!@?!# Then she said it's also nice.

My Ume came and I wasn't very impressed. It's sourish. Baby accidentally bite into the plum and his eyes were squinting, I said OMG what's wrong is it a bone? Is it spicy??? He said no it's DAMN sour.

I do hope the staffs here would know what the different foods are, don't have to be specific like fish belly or squid tentacles but at least a fish or a squid. And hopefully there won't be another case like mine: PLUMS = FISH.

Sushi Zanmai @ 1 Utama

After attempting to have Sushi Zanmai so many times, we finally managed to get a seat. There is always a queue. People who shop in 1 Utama often should notice this as well.

Ocha (RM 1).

Miso Shiru (RM 2.80) ~ Lukewarm, not hot enough.

Chawanmushi (RM 4.80) ~ Watery & wobbly.

Chawanmushi (RM 4.80) ~ Watery & wobbly.

Salmon Sushi (RM 6.80) ~ Okay.

Sashimi Salmon (RM 7.80) ~ Good & Fresh.

Gindara Teriyaki (RM 19.80) ~ So So, rubbery chewy texture, flesh did not absorb the Teriyaki sauce.

Macha Ice Cream (RM 6) ~ Okay.
