Wine Club @ La Bodega, Bangsar

I never liked wine, I dislike how when it touches my tongue it makes my lense pop out of my eye socket and causes a terrible sensation on my tongue which feels as as dry as the dessert and as sour as lime. I can't imagine how people could pair it with food. I don't think I can taste the food anymore after drinking wine. But what do I know right?

Funny that I am attending a wine event; Carrie dragged me on my heels to accompany her; Cherish and me both. Well since I'm here might as well make the best of it.

 Looks like we are going to try 6 wines.

    Munchies to go with the wine. My God I simply love the shrimp ~ very fresh and tasteful. 

Lamb Kebabs ~ Cherish munching on it non stop.

    Creme Brulee ~ Not too bad, if only the entire top is covered with burned sugar.

Too formal for my own good ;) Way past KDU days where I wear my pyjamas to work. Good thing; I guess so ;)

Thai Up @ The Gardens Mall

    Spicy Seafood Mix Rice ~ I like the rice, cool la. Seafood fresh, gravy good; spicy yet sweet. I like the squid, so chewy.

   Seafood Glass Noodle Tom Yum ~ Nice, soup not too sour, I can enjoy the soup without choking on it.

A simple shop by the corner, reasonably priced and foods good too.

You know how many times we had to call the waiter before they actually came over to hand us the menu. The table has the "Call Me" button which I think is redundant; we used our hands and pressed the button so many times. While sipping my teh tarik halfway, Inez suddenly had the mood to fly off to Zeta, couldn't even wait for me to finish my teh. Alamak!

Never been to Zeta, only heard from mimi that the band is good. I hate bands :/ Inez was really excited to go so....

No pictures of Zeta, too dark in there. I didn't like it at all; like I said I dislike bands, except Daniel's. Do not order soft drink at Zeta it cost RM 30. I should have carried the can back :/

Grandeur Gallery Cafe @ Kota Kemuning

I lost my way so many times trying to find this place, called the cafe although directing me the voice don't sound to friendly. 

 Filled with beautiful art.

Hot Chocolate ~ I like this; chocolatey and it's not powdered chocolate.

  Scrambled Eggs on Toast ~ Eggs are soft but not soggy, and with a smidge of pepper the eggs are perfect. I don't like the bread; brown bread and there's nuts on it; I prefer white bread.

Tiramisu with Rum ~ One of the best Tiramisu I've had however the rum taste spoiled the cake; sourish.

My eggs and hot chocolate are not good, settings of the cafe is unique and cozy; I can chill here for hours I however dislike the staff. The guy at the counter has no expression it's like talking to a vampire and he is no Edward Cullen.

I wanted to order the set and add on bacon, I asked the lady is it possible to order one set and charge me for adding bacon, she said no we don't do that. I'm not going to order two sets and eat two bread. Some people have no flexibility at all. And their face seriously??? Your food may be good but your faces are not. Please dig a hole and bury your face in it, and hopefully when you come out it will be more pleasant.

I've always wanted to know how it felt like firing a bow to be like Robin Hood but never had the company to try. Amy asked if I was interested to go for archery since she bought a voucher on Groupon. Hell yeah!

  Teppanyaki Squid ~ So so la, I was having a hard time chewing the squid; tough. Gigi sakit.

I asked for the bill, gave my card, went to the counter to sign then I asked how come the amount is different from the bill you gave me. He said yeah just now was the wrong bill. Don't you think that you at least need to have the courtesy to tell me that you gave me the wrong bill before swiping my card then ask me to sign without even telling me that you swipe a different amount should I have not asked. IDIOT! Rude! Barger!!!! Arghhh! The new bill charge me for another mug of Carlsberg that I did not have. He refunded me in cash since it will be too much trouble to void the sales and swipe my card again.

   Tea Pot Earl Grey ~ Delightfully pleasant not like the other Earl Grey which usually are too fragrant.

Wild Mushroom Soup ~ Very good, thick and tasteful.

  Saute Button Mushroom with Butter Sauce ~ Very buttery :) Flood the bread with the sauce, yum yum.

Calamari Rings ~ Crispy, fresh and chewy.

   Crispy Aromatic Duck ~ It's like popiah with duck, I think the duck is too dry but Vanessa loved it.

  Alla Carbonara with Smoked Duck Breast ~ Keng Hua loved it so much he clean the whole plate.
