Jeff's Cellar @ The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat, Ipoh

Continued from my previous post - Pomelo. Let's head to Jeff's Cellar.

Steps to awesomeness....

Let's explore :)

The cave is gorgeous.

Huggies.

Dine with me.

Taking a break from all the exploring.

And sugar did his pose.

Huge wine collection.

Bar.

Royal Darjeeling (RM 24 - inclusive of tax).

He wish he has a wine cellar.

We finished our tea and it's time to head back to KL. Jeff's Cellar definitely make up for the not so yummy food at Pomelo. It's gorgeous and service is good too, if you haven't been you have to. Just tahan having dinner at Pomelo first then you'll be able to check out JC. Else you can stay in Banjaran's Villa and have access to JC. JC has so many empty tables inside I don't see why they can't just open it to public.

Pomelo @ The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat, Ipoh

I made dinner plans at IMiirage and planned to have drinks after at Jeff's Cellar. I saw how beautiful the cellar looked and I was determined to sip my tea there.

Woohoo, let's make reservation.

I got a very disappointing reply :(
Don't you think their information on the website (see above) is deceiving. It says nothing about having to be an In House Guest or to dine in Pomelo then only you are allowed into Jeff Cellar.

Before I wrote an email to them, I called first to enquire and the person on the phone said that I could access Jeff Cellar if there is seat available, the person said nothing about dining at Pomelo or being an In House guest.

Receive a slightly hopeful reply, I pray that his manager will say yes to my request.

Let's wait..........................

Oh well I guess they don't give a crap that I'll be travelling all the way from KL (half day trip - driving back to KL after drinks) or that it's my birthday or that their website didn't publish correct/limited information.

Since I really wanted to see the cellar, I cancelled my reservation at IMiirage and changed it to Pomelo & Jeff Cellar.

We are here.

Proton Limo.

Stretching hehee.

While no ones looking ;)

Arrived.

Bread is soft & warm.

Amuse Bouche (Comp) ~It's otak otak, not bad.

Cod Fish (RM 76): Steamed with Pomelo, Ginger, Asparagus, Wok-fried Vegetables, and Hazelnut with Lemongrass Emulsion ~ Sauce is plain and there's too much unnecessary decoration and unwanted stuff. I enjoy the cod fish itself, it's very fresh.

Wok-fried Vegetables ~ None of it I eat :/

Sarawak Pepper Glazed Lamb Rack (RM 94): Caramelized Garlic , Spicy Potato Mousseline, Palm Sugar, and Micro Green Salad ~ Taste like frozen lamb, and lack of seasoning.

Comp Birthday dessert.

Comp "Petit Four" Platter ~ I like the cookies.

Heading to Jeff Cellar, woohoo...

I must admit that I was pretty disappointed at the supervisor for being not flexible. After tasting Pomelo's food I can see why they force me to eat there. Food was awful for the price that they charged. Either than that service is good.
