Burps & Giggles @ Jalan Sultan Yussuf, Ipoh

Latte (RM 10) ~ Nice.

Cabinet door as a table, cool but it's kinda dirty.

Cheese Cake (RM 10) ~ The top layer is too soggy but the bottom layer is good.

Jose & Deli Eatery @ Jalan Dato Onn Jaafar, Ipoh

Jose Deli is located above of French Hotel.

Hotel Lobby.

Let's head upstairs.

English Breakfast (RM 9) ~ Okay.

Earl Grey (RM 5) ~ Okay
Raspberry (RM 5) ~ The sourish taste takes some time getting use to, after that then it's nice.

Down we go.

When we arrived, the cafe was empty; No staff in sight. We were walking around taking picture before someone attended to us. I was asking the young waiter on the flavors of the macaroons as there were no labels. He wasn't able to tell me but  he was apologetic about it, so it's okay. I assume the pink macaroon was Rose, unfortunately when I take a bite it's Raspberry.

Thean Chun Coffee Shop @ Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh

Crowded, had to wait quite a bit for a table.

Herbal Tea & Egg ~ Egg is tasteless but tea is good.
I would prefer the Herbal Egg back here in KL using real herbs, much more tasteful.

Egg Custard ~ Too sweet.

We wanted to try the famous Hor Fun, but we had to wait for an hour or more. I'm afraid that Funny Mountain soya bean might be close by then so I decided not to wait. Maybe next time.

Yew Ming Teochew Porridge Restaurant @ Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh

Hello Ipoh; Raining all the way to Ipoh.

Parking coupon.

First food stop.

The owner loves dancing and has participated in many competitions.

Awesome chilli sauce.

Teochew Style Porridge, unlike the normal Cantonese porridge which requires longer cooking time resulting in more liquid like texture.

Steamed Veggie ~ Not to my liking, I can't take the smell. The veggies are boiled together with intestine and has completely absorb the smell of intestines. Good for intestine lovers.

Fish Cake ~ Nice.

Teochew Steamed Fish Belly / 'Yu Lam' ~ Yummylicious. Gravy is super nice with porridge.

Chung Wah Chicken Rice Balls @ Jonker Street

Welcome to Jonker Street.

In KL we have automated parking machines where you just need to key in your car plate number. Here in Malacca it's a lot different, you need to look for red signs like this and purchase a parking coupon.

Then manually scratch out the date & time, and place it on your dashboard.

We heard a lot about Chung Wah, so thought we give it a try. Bring an umbrella because there is no shade and you'll have to queue under the scorching hot sun.

Saw this across the road.

Sharing table is a must as there are limited tables inside.

Only 5???? Who are they feeding a mouse???!?#@!

1/2 Steamed Chicken ~ RM24 is freaking expensive. Kar Heong in Subang serves better tasting chicken that this.

Chicken Liver ~ We told them that we don't want it, they say it comes with the chicken. We asked that they take it back because we don't eat it therefore not wanting to waste it. The next table heard us and said they would like to have it so we gave ours to them

I would say the only thing nice about Chung Wah are the chicken rice balls. If KL were to have their own rice balls I wouldn't bother coming all the way to Melaka. I suppose since I've tasted Kar Heong's steamed chicken no other chicken can come close to compare.

I'm not the only one who thinks so; A couple of Sabahan who shared the same table as us shared the same point of view. The lady mouthed out what so special? We smiled.
