Welcome to Jonker Street.
In KL we have automated parking machines where you just need to key in your car plate number. Here in Malacca it's a lot different, you need to look for red signs like this and purchase a parking coupon.
Then manually scratch out the date & time, and place it on your dashboard.
We heard a lot about Chung Wah, so thought we give it a try. Bring an umbrella because there is no shade and you'll have to queue under the scorching hot sun.
Saw this across the road.
Sharing table is a must as there are limited tables inside.
Only 5???? Who are they feeding a mouse???!?#@!
1/2 Steamed Chicken ~ RM24 is freaking expensive. Kar Heong in Subang serves better tasting chicken that this.
Chicken Liver ~ We told them that we don't want it, they say it comes with the chicken. We asked that they take it back because we don't eat it therefore not wanting to waste it. The next table heard us and said they would like to have it so we gave ours to them.
I would say the only thing nice about Chung Wah are the chicken rice balls. If KL were to have their own rice balls I wouldn't bother coming all the way to Melaka. I suppose since I've tasted Kar Heong's steamed chicken no other chicken can come close to compare.
I'm not the only one who thinks so; A couple of Sabahan who shared the same table as us shared the same point of view. The lady mouthed out what so special? We smiled.
