Jipangi @ Sunway Pyramid

Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 7) ~ Vanilla ice cream is so so & cone is almost tasteless.

It looked really obscene when I was trying to eat this. Well if you look at it properly it does look like a men's genitals. Baby didn't wanna have it, he says it looks like he is eating his own di**. Hahaa.

Don't get me wrong it is interesting that the cone is shaped 'J' for Jipangi but I believe that sometimes interesting is not sufficient. I've always liked those motorcycle ice cream that sells cone ice cream for RM1.50 and I can mix a couple of flavors (usually yam, chocolate, vanilla & strawberry), in this case I would say the motor ice cream taste much much better than this & the cone is tastier than Jipangi.

This is motor ice cream :)

Cone ice cream, consists of Yam, Chocolate & Vanilla. Satisfying.

Taipei House Revisit @ SS2

Spicy Pork Steamboat (RM 19) ~ Yum Yum.
Added RM 3.50 to get Rice with Minced Pork, yummy too.

Cabbage Acar is too sour, sauce is good.

Jelly Fungus (RM 4.90) ~ Not bad but too much nuts.

Yay free drink.

Jasmine Tea ~ Slightly bitter.

Same thing happen this time too, the sweet waitress is still the one doing all the work, taking initiative to clean empty plates while the others are busy with their handphones.

Dim Sum @ Hong Kee Restaurant, Taipan USJ

Porridge ~ The only decent food here.

Foo Chok ~ Crappy, barely warm & not crispy at all.

Ladyfinger ~ Okay.

Shumai with Crabstick ~ So So.

Shumai ~ So So.

Har Gaw ~ So So.

Wrapped Bacon ~ Bacon is okay.

Fishball ~ Bleahh.

Fried Radish Cake ~ Okay.

I mentioned a couple of times that I don't like dim sum because it's expensive and not nice, I was dragged here by mom obviously. The only place for dim sum that I approve of is Tao Chinese Cuisine at Intercontinental Hotel. One you have tried Tao, other dim sums are horrible. Hong Kee dim sum is so bad compared to them. Of course Tao is more expensive but totally worth it.

I'm not sure how Hong Kee charges their dimsum, there's dim sum price of RM1.90, RM4, RM5.30 & RM7. Ours was marked from RM4 till RM7, and the total bill is RM49.70. For that amount of money I could have eat something much better, nicer & more filling. Apologies but I really do have something against bad dim sum.

Raku Pizza @ SS15

Order at the counter.

We are going to Build Our Own Pizza.

Build Your Own Pizza (RM 7.70): Herbs Dough with Teriyaki Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese.  Added Karaage Chicken (RM 2.80) & Mashed Potato (RM 1.80) ~
My pizza is not bad but I think I would like it if it's slightly thicker. They have plastic cutleries which is basically redundant because I couldn't even cut the pizza with it. I'm afraid if I use to much force that it might snap and stab me.

Added RM 2.50 for Bottomless Soft Drink, Miso Soup & Fried Rice.

Fried Rice (Comes with RM 2.50 set add on) ~ Very bland.

Miso Soup (Comes with RM 2.50 set add on) ~ Extremely salty. I call this the black pool of death.

Build Your Own Pizza (RM 7.70): Charcoal Dough with Wasabi Mayonnaise Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese.
Added Beef Pepperoni (RM 3.80) & Prawn Tempura (RM 5) ~ Feli wasn't too pleased with the thin sliced pepperonis and little pieces of tempura. She's not very impressed with the pizza either. She also thinks that the fried rice is bland and miso soup is very salty.

Be careful when you're eating the charcoal dough because the tiny crumbs gets stuck to your teeth. Your teeth suddenly looked like it got attack by tiny ants. Luckily there's a sink to wash your mouth. Imagine if you didn't notice, your friend will be giggling at you.

Guy at the counter is sweet, I asked him a couple of things since it's my first time here. I was asking things like is which dough is nicer, he took the effort to show me the different doughs. I also asked if Karaage Chicken is same as ham, he said no but it's nice and also offered to show me how it looks like. Karaage Chicken indeed is not bad.

Before we started our meal, for some reason I took a look underneath the table and I took a deep breathe, and I said to Feli, Feli i'm gonna tell you something but don't freak out. Obviously she freaked out even before I said anything. She was already on her feet sweeping her hair. I said I haven't even tell you, anyways there's a dead cockroach under your chair. One of the staff came and step on it with his shoe and drag it outside.

At the end of the meal, they gave us a feedback form. Obviously both of us had to write down things that we are not so happy with. There's the cockroach, the salty miso soup, the bland fried rice, the super thin pieces of pepperoni, little tempuras and plastic cutleries. Feli of course wrote on the entire paper until there is no more space to write. I was being slightly less cruel because the guy was helpful and nice to me. I think this place has a lot of potential but they need to improve on certain things.

Taipei House @ SS2

Pearl Milk Tea (RM 4.90) ~ Not bad but the milk tea is not as fragrant and the pearls are not as chewy as Chatime's.

Fresh Pear Juice (RM 4.90) ~ Okay.

3 Cups Sauce Chicken (RM 18.50).

3 Cups Sauce Chicken (RM 18.50) ~ Soup, eggs, and cabbage are nice. Chicken not a bad attempt. Rice with minced pork is yummy.

Acar & Sauce (Comes with Steamboat) ~ Acar is slightly too sour but the sauce is good.

Spicy Pork Steamboat (RM 16.50) ~ Steamboat comes with rice but I didn't want the rice.
Asked for the soup to be less spicy.
Ingredients are plenty; There's carrots, fishball, taufu, tong fun, pork, crabstick, prawn, sausage. Can be shared with 2 people.
I enjoyed the steamboat.

Taipei House opens until 1am, nice place to have a meal if you're tired of mamaks/fast foods. Foods not bad. I especially liked my Mini Steamboat. There's a waitress who I think is really sweet. She has a ponytail, prettiest and most hardworking among all the staff there. Why I say so?? We were there at about 1130pm, she's so sweet when she took our order, patient, soft spoken and smiling. She does all the serving, cleaning, and payment collection while the others loiter around eyes glued into their handphones. They do help occasionally but 9/10 of the things I would say is all done by her. She takes the initiative to walk around clearing empty plates also. I think the owner should cut back on unnecessary help and reward her with their pay.
