Amadeus Bistro & Wine Bar @ KL Life Centre

Ms D is in town so we decided to try Amadeus. Amadeus is actually Mozart, he is part of the logo. Amadeus Bistro used to be Dubrovnik in Solaris Mont Kiara, they close the restaurant down and move here.

You dont get to see this kind of lamp at all! Cool!

Mozart's House Salad ~ Donna really enjoyed it.

Manhattan Seafood Chowder ~ I like the tiny prawnies in the soup.

This is what i call REAL BUTTER! Dorina, Daisy, and Planta no FIGHT! This butter is all the way from Netherlands.

Mancine's Fettuccine Alfredo.

Marco's Chicken Schnitzel ~ I like the baby carrots and cauliflowers. The outer layer of the chicken is crispy and nice. However the portion of the chicken is really huge that after eating and eating you'll get a little stuff and the chicken don't taste so good. Rest for a while, remove the outer layer and just eat the chicken.

Chocolate Dessert ~ For me this dessert wasn't that nice but Donna seem to  enjoy it, something wrong with my taste butt i guess.

The beautiful Dina and Donna. Amadeus is managed by Dina.

Amadeus is usually quiet on weekends because mostly offices are at Life Centre that dont open on weekends. They get really crowded especially during lunch time. Amadeus's food portion is huge and reasonably priced for that kind of portion. You can actually order and share instead of ordering one dish per person.

Nadeje Cake Shop @ PJ 3 Two Square

Apparently the Nadeje opened in PJ 3 Two Square is the branch out of the famous mille crepe cake shop in Malacca. Now you do not have to take a 3 hour drive just to eat the crepe cake. Lets see if the cakes live up to the name.

We were having trouble looking for Block B, finally we found it, it is facing the back. The queue WOW. You would assume that if the queue is that long, the things in there must be real good. Typical human thinking!

Most of the mille crepe cakes are about RM 9.50.

It was fullhouse, i waited for an empty table unfortunately couldnt get one. So i decided to ta pao.

Monotone ~ I probably like this the most compared to the others but the monotone is really reallly very normal. Packing comes with small icepack to cool the cake.

Cheese Mille Crepe ~ I didnt like the texture of the cake, it wasnt smooth enough for me, plus i didnt like how the cheese tasted. This is a lousy attempt of a cheese mille crepe.

Original ~ Usually original flavor is the best, i beg to differ in this case. The same i didnt like the texture of the cake as well as the taste.

Green Tea ~ The outlook of the cake is not very appetizing, the texture is not smooth at all. For that price the cake should be super good and texture soft and smooth. This is a real bad attempt of green tea mille crepe cake not to mention that the red bean in the cake was bitter.

Even if you pay me money i would not come back to this place, maybe to try the coffee. I might try the original mille crepe cake shop in Malacca to see if it is as bad as the one here. I would definitely recommend Winter Lover Bakery for much better taste and quality crepe cakes.

Departure Lounge @ Damansara Uptown

Order your food at the counter, tick on the chit what you like to have.

Then you will get a lucky number to buy 4D. So happen my favorite number is 13 :)

Hot Chocolate ~ Delicious just nice and doesnt taste like powdered chocolate.

5 Item Brekkie ~ I chose the omelette, baked beans, ham, bacon & button mushrooms. Simply delicious!

7 Item Brekkie.

Departure Lounge is a nice place to chill, i like the setting and all but inside noisy like pasar malam. So it will be a great place to chill once the crowd clears out. i find the breakfast set reasonable. the 5 item brekkie is about RM 15.

Epicurean Cuisine & Patisserie

Found Epicurean Patisserie on Facebook ~ attracted by the fancy name so I decided to give it a try. Placed my order via email, i was looking forward to order flavors like Green Tea however according to Chef Lee specific flavors like Matcha Green Tea, Vanilla and White Truffle which he doesnt have in hand would require a minimum of 25 piece per flavor.

I told Chef Lee that i am not going to eat 50 piece of macaroon as i am ordering just for fun.

So i told him that ill stick with the flavors that he have in hand which is:

Dark chocolate
Sea salt caramel
Vanilla
Earl Grey
Pistachio
Raspberry
Chocolate caramel

Since he have it in hand i would presume that i can collect it the next day, i emailed him for confirmation and awaited his reply. Waited till Saturday was bout to come to an end, then came Sunday morning. Woke up check my email still no reply so i whatsapp him whether can i still come and collect, if he cannot cater to me then next week is fine for me. He replied next week then. HMMPhhhhh! This is already testing my patience! But fine since i read good reviews about his macaroons, i shall tolerate his nonsence just to get a taste of it.

Come next week, i whatsapp him on Saturday night to remind him of collection on Sunday afternoon. He told me that he would be going to Church so i would have to collect it from his house by 2pm or at Pavillion by 4.30pm.

Since i did not want to rush therefore i chose the latter. He informed me that his phone is running out of battery so he will meet me at Komuji cafe at 4.30pm.

After lunching at Levain, i drove to Pavilion, took the trouble to find a parking but Donna and Simon decided to wait in the car while i go get the macaroons. I was hunting for Komuji cafe, after walking up and down i finally found it. I walked in the cafe took a round looking for Chef Lee, since i havent actually met the dude i dont really know what he looked like just based on the whatsapp picture.

I walked in one round looking nobody looked back at me. I asked the workers at the counter they do not know who am i talking about, showed them his whatsapp picture still no help. I suppose i thought that he might own that cafe or work in it or something. NEVERMIND! I stand outside of the cafe waiting and trying to call him >> voicemail. Hmmm looks like his hp ran out of battery.

So i was cat walking up and down the cafe hoping that somebody might notice that i was looking for someone, UNFORTUNATELY nobody was looking back at me. So i stand at the entrance for 20mins... GRRRR! Donna suggested that i come back to the car and not wait there like a Gundu! And also she and Simon are choking on the car fumes ;)

Sighz! so i left there and drove Donna and Simon home. I got home pretty pissed and upset. If you know that your hp battery is going to run out, the natural thing to do would be pass me the contact of your friends that you are going to hang out with OR take down my contact and call me with your friend's hp OR PAY ATTENTION TO PPL WALKING UP AND DOWN and look like searching for someone.

Finally i receive a message from Chef Lee saying that he already informed me his hp has limited battery and it might run out. TYPICAL! So he said if you are still interested you can come collect it as he is already back in Kelana.

After all the trouble i had to go through for it might as well collect it, try it and get it off my chest! I drove all the way to his place in SS5 Kelana Jaya collected the macaroons. To think that after all the trouble he put me through, make me pay for the parking in Pavilion he should at least be more apologetic about it and give me a discount. He did offer me extra 1 macaroon free but this is because i was a first time buyer and before all the trouble he put me through.

SO lets see if the macaroons are worth all the hassle:

I like the box, it has a classy yet simple touch. The earl grey and pistachio was good but a lil too sweet.

And the tower of macaroons do make a nice picha :)

I may be fussy and a complaint queen but i will always give Chefs, cafes or restaurants a chance to proof themselves before i simply judge them, this includes the funny things that they put me through.

Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie @ Jalan Delima

I decided to try Levain and dragged poor Simon and Donna along. Unfortunately due to our no sense of direction we got lost a couple of times trying to find this place. Its actually located very close to Renoma Gallery. Times Square will be on your right keep going straight, Jalan Delima is actually just acorss the road, you will need to find a away to U-Turn.

Levain is really pack, you can park in Levain but you have to wait for an empty spot. We were really hungry so we parked further down the road, the Bangladeshi worker will ask you to park in the lot, it cost about RM 3 only.

Finally we are here....

Walk in AND full houseee.... So we walked upstairs to find a table. But it would be great to be able to sit outside and sip tea. Maybe next time...

There is definitely no seat downstairs, so we went upstairs and managed to get a table at the back.

We took turns to order, remember your table no. so that the waitor can send your drinks to your table.

There is a huge selection of cakes and macaroons.. Unfortunately i did not manage to get a picture, becauseeeee i saw the queue and i wana berebuts to order.

Cafe Latte ~ Definitely no fight with the coffee at San Francisco and J&D
                                                    Espresso.

Simon orders the weirdest thing ~ Sum bulat thingy??

Simon orders the weirdest thing ~ Pizza??

Creamy Mushroom Soup ~ BIASALA tasted like can soup.

Macaroons ~ I only like the Green Tea, the green tea is one of the best i ever
tasted. The others piling there not soo much.

New York Cheese Cake ~ Horrible! The cheese tasted farneeee!
New York Cheese Cake ~ Horrible! The cheese tasted farneeee!

Mushroom Pasta ~ This is actually not bad! Donna enjoyed the pasta!

Simon, The lil Pwincess & the Beautiful Donna!

The interior of Levain!

I like the interior of a bungalow by itself turned into a pasty shop but the cakes, food, and coffee very biasa only! WHY the crowd??!? Ull have to come by 3pm, the pastries sells out by then.

Albion Modern British & Dining Bar @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

It is girls night out tonight, me and baby gurl Juu headed over to KLCC for some shopping and also i had to get another lens cover for my camera. I misplaced the cover somewhere. Thankfully the cover only cost me RM 6.

Sipping tea to the view of dancing water fountains at The Apartment.

After tea we headed over to The Cream & Fudge Factory.

Red Bean Green Tea Creation ~ This is awesome, i really like Green Tea but it is really hard to find green tea that dont taste funny or toooo green teaeyyy. This Red Bean Creation is absolutely delicious and the texture is just the way i like it.

Strawberry Cookie Cream Creation ~ Juu had this and she absolutely love it too.

After dessert we headed over to Albion for dinner, soo much food for 2 skinny girls right. HEHE!

Buns to start before dinner ~ I do not really like the bun though, not soft enough.

Ballotine of Chicken ~ I like the chicken, it tasted nicer than my porky.

Roast Belly Pork ~ I like the caulliflower and carrots more than the pork. No i am not a vegetarian. I already told the waiter to only give me Cauliflower as i do not eat Broccoli. BUT like all the restaurants they ignore your request.

I am not that satisfied with the food at Albion, the ice cream is definitely better than my main course.
