Another year has passed, it is time for Cheng Beng again. In case you are wondering Cheng Beng is actually a Chinese tradition to pay respects to your ancestors or any relative that has passed on. Daddy forced me up at 6.00am, i am so not a morning person, i will kill you if you talk to me in the morning; exxagerate much ;)

We all bundled in the car and snored in the car, there is definitely no jam in the middle of the morning on a Saturday, however about 1km before reaching the Memorial Hills there was a short crawl, all the Cina people are here to pray too. 

First up to visit my Great Ama and Great Ah Koong at the Christian Memory Park.

The prayer hall is bigger than 2 bungalows add together. *Amazed*

Really peaceful up here. I definitely would want to die here next time.

After all is done, we drove out to Semenyih Memorial Hills to see Ah Koong. It has been 2 years since he passed on.

  We come here like picnic, sugar cane, ice cream. HEHE. I like the cone ice cream so cheap only RM 1.50, this beats Baskin Robbin any day.

Simply Cakes @ Bandar Kinrara, Puchong

There are many cupcakes shop opening everywhere like ants, but soo far none of the shops has actually made me want to purchase it again from them, Bisou, Cupcake Chic, Wondermilk & bla bla bla... All no no. I found this shop online and thought why not?? Worst come to worst it is going to taste as bad as Bisou only what.. 

I placed my order online, inform Ms Shoba that i will collect the cupcake next week. I drove all the way to Bandar Kinrara just to get this little babies, well if it nice i wouldnt mind it one bit. 

Vanilla Cupcakes ~ Absolutely perfect, the cake taste just nice not too dry and not too moist, the icing on the cupcake is awesome, tingling, but not too sweet. I can finish all 6 in 30 minutes. Very addictive but worth every calories. 

I really like the cupcakes that Ms Shoba make, although she sometimes don't make the design i want. As you can see in the picture she made a repetition of 1 of the design and the orange color icing is not one of the design i chose. Hmm if she can improve that then she is superb :)

I only tried her cupcakes, Ms. Shoba also does birthday and wedding cakes, maybe one day i shall try them. I will definitely drive all the way to Kinrara for the cupcakes again.

Macaroon @ Cupcake Chic

Decided to try the macaroons by Cupcake Chic, their cakes are not that nice but who knows maybe their macaroons are good. Macaroons can only be found at Curve outlet. Else you can order it online and pick it at any of the 3 outlets: Curve, Sunway and Ampang Point.

Went to Curve, after walking here and there, up and down i finally found the shop, it is at the South entrance same row as Coffee Bean on the left side.

Cute packaging, however the handle was not firmly attached to the box, it kept coming out and i nearly drop my macaroons a couple of times :/

Fatal Attraction ~ The filling is too thick, i dont like it at all.

Red Velvet ~ Too sweet, nothing special.

Earl grey ~ Not too bad.

Green Tea ~ Green tea is usually my favorite flavor, the filling is red bean, the red bean was was i cant quite describe it - thick and bland.

Lavender ~ Too sweet.

Salted Caramel ~ Not too bad but the filling was too much, when i took a bite it came out. 

Macaroons and cupcakes are the in thing now unlike the olden days who prefers huge cake. Ill go crazy over these tiny easy to pop in the mouth dessert. You can check out Cupcake Chic website here:

Second trip to this cozy lil cafe, the mille crepe cakes are too die for... I dont know why people would rather or even bother to go to Nadeje. Just because it's a branch out from Malacca does not mean that it is nice. 

 Beautiful Flower Series ~ Im sure that you think i ordered this, i actually suggested the relaxing series but fei yan chose this. I guess even guys want to be beautiful :D

Mille Crepe: Original on the left & Tiramisu on the right ~ Original is really good, you can taste the rich vanilla, cake is smooth, soft but firm at the same time. Tiramisu was okay.

Macaroons:  Tiramisu ~ me no likey, the cookies & cream is not a bad attempt.

 There is 2 section ~ you can sit on the floor or you can sit on the high chairs, i like the floor.

 It has been a long time since I have seen these kiddie sweet - 20 cent only.

Salad ~ Fei Yan said this is good.

  Egg Sandwich ~ I really like the mayonnaise, it is different from the others that i have tasted before, not too sour a lil creamy.

 Spaghetti Bolognese ~ This is fairly good although a lil too small portioned. 

  Macaroons ~ I like the rum & mocha. The dessert in this shop are mostly a mixture of 2 flavors.

  Tiramisu & Green Tea Crepe Cake ~ I like the how they draw the camera using chocolate powder, the cake tasted weird, i dont know what i was eating I didnt taste much of the green tea only tiramisu.

Secret Recipe @ Wisma MCA

It is Afy's last day today, its quite sad to see her leave, then i will have to suffer all by myself in my workplace. SIGHZZZZ!

  Complimentary Keropok ~ The only thing that tasted nice among all the food that we order.

Boss is on the way.

  Spaghetti Aglio Olio ~ The only thing i like about the spaghetti is the huge squid. The spaghetti was too spicy, I was literally choking while eating it.

 Mushroom Chicken Chop ~ THIS IS TERRIBLE, the rice is clumpy and cold, the chicken tasted horrible, corn dry tasteless, the mushroom gravy the taste haihz no comments....

Japanese Soba.

 White Dark Chocolate Cheese Cake ~ Nothing special about these cheesecake, usually when it comes to dessert i will baham it all even if im full. I left nearly half of the cake.

 Complimentary bun ~ The bun is good, soft and warm and with butter - syok. I asked for butter to go with it, i cannot live without butter. 

Zuppa Di Mare ~ A little too sour for my liking, but i like the prawns and squids inside.

   Bacon Portobello ~ Unlimited supply of black mushrooms, my favorite, the cheese on the mushroom is scrumptious.

 Cod Porridge ~ I know im crazy ordering porridge in a place like this, but... who cares ;) I like the porridge especially with cod fish, the porridge is thick and not too watery and the porridge has just enough flavor and smell of the cod fish. 

  Pork Tenderloin ~ I like the cauliflower and carrots, the tenderloin is a little too tough for my liking but Mel Mel liked it. He has stronger teeth than me i guess. The gravy given was not enough, no extra gravy for me to dip my cauliflower in. Gravy only what so stingy for what?

Leonardo's is on the top floor and another floor above is the loft or bar, there is a tiny miserable space outside for smokers who needs to take a puff every 10 minutes but then again smokers cant be choosers ;)

The price we paid for the whole meal is not really worth it, was about RM 150 for mushrooms, porridge, and porky. And the food not to say that nice. Like Mel alwiz ejek me that i like to pay for the ambiance and not the food. Hmmm.... I said:  OIII you suggested this place okay... I guess your suggestion sueh like me. HEHE!
