De' Amour Cafe @ Kota Damansara

I drove pass this cute cafe and saw lots of flowers outside, that only means one thing. Its new! I came back another day just to give it a try.

    I appreciate when one of the owner came over and offered to close the curtains for my privacy. Though it doesn't cover much but it's the thought that counts.

  Mocha ~ Coffee overpowered the chocolate, I asked for milk to counteract the coffee. J&D Espresso makes very good mocha.

  Creamy Pumpkin Soup ~ Not creamy enough but not a bad attempt; the soup could use a little more cream and pumpkin. I like the bread especially when I dip it in the soup. The pumpkin soup in PH Pastry is superb.

  Eggs Benedict ~ The only thing nice is the ham but ham is always good regardless. Egg was tasteless, so it wasn't helpful that the yolk was all over my bread. I never like yolk except with sambal belacan. 

Tiramisu Mille Crepe ~ Not bad but since Ive tried mille crepe at Vanilla Mille Crepe, Paradigm and Winter Lover, Kota Damansara this mille crepe could do with a lil boost in size, outer layer of the cake is a lil rough and not rich enough.

     French Milk Mille Crepe ~ Not too bad; size of the cake, texture and richness could use improvement too.

   I was sitting the normal table till I saw this adorable spot then I switched place. See the plain water on the table, after I left I realize they charged me RM 2 for that. OMG!! Seriously ! If I know I would have refill 50x and ta pao it home. The air ventilation at this spot was not very good, I was sweating. If they can make this area cooler that would be great.

For those who doubt me saying that the shop charged me for the water, here is the proof. 

The owner was polite enough to come over while handing the bill, asked how was the meal. In my mind "Hmm you shouldn't have ask me, now I would have to tell the truth and risk you poisoning me the next time I come". I said sure I'll tell you once you bring my change. HEHE "Better take my money, after I open my mouth he might not want to return my change, HAHA Kidding"....

I explain to him from the drink to the sandwich what was wrong with it and how he could improve. I didn't tell him about the cakes and the air-con ventilation as I felt that he has enough from me already. I bet he regrets asking me now :) I told him I like the concept of his cafe if he could improve on the food i am sure that his cafe will stand out.

I know that it is not easy to open a restaurant or cafe. I can easily comment but I could also easily just make all the same mistakes if I open one. I think good reviews and bad reviews are what separates the average, bad, and excellent restaurant. If reviews are not important that would mean all restaurants are equally good or equally bad. You can either take my review as a challenge to improve yourself or you can treat my review as crap. I'm fine with both.

Nando's @ Jaya One

Nando's is one of my favorite chicken restaurant apart from KFC. They somehow manage to make the chicken meat tender and juicy and you can taste the peri sauce in the meat.

  Mild Peri Peri (Spice Rice & Sweet Potato) ~ Chicken was good as expected, rice a lil funny its like eating rice with pepper.

  Hot Peri Peri (Coleslaw & Peri Corn) ~ I love hot, chicken was good as expected; I would prefer if they cut the corn in half for me then it would be easier for me to cut out the corn and make it into corn in cup but without the cup. The coleslaw didn't taste as nice as it used to, hmm but I can't quite put my finger on it tasted raw and crunchy.

Ah Wang Bak Kut Teh @ Old Klang Road

I heard from a couple of people who says that the Bak Kut Teh here is nice. Let's see if they can beat Heng Kee.

   Yau Char Kuey ~ I like to eat the yau char kuey in whole not chopped up like that.

    Black Mushroom ~ Lousy cant even compete half with the one at Heng Kee. This one still has the strong mushroom smell and the soup i cant make out the taste.

  Bak Kut Teh ~ Soup has this sweet weird taste. Go try the one at Heng Kee, PJ Oldtown. No Bak Kut Teh has even come close to theirs not even this.

Renoma Cafe Gallery @ Jalan Bukit Bintang

Have always heard of Renoma Cafe Gallery but never tried. It has to be good after all the big people went for its opening. 

Classy. 

  The cafe sells Renoma's clothing too. At the background you can see the dart machine which you can toy with while waiting for your food. Didn't take a picture of the machine because there were boys playing with it, didn't want to invade their personal space.

 Me likey this :)

Macchiato ~ I warned "some people" not to order this as it is not like Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks. BUT some people just love to defy me. He took a sip of it and his expression was classic. HAHA! Macchiato is definitely not for us NON coffee lovers.

  Mocha ~ The only thing nice about this its the art. Coffee taste is too strong and I could barely taste the chocolate. Me no likey this.

  Mushroom Soup ~ The soup was barely past warm and the taste of mushroom was not at all strong especially with the price that they are charging. 

Tiramisu ~ Didn't like this either, the coffee overpowered the cheese. 

  Cheesecake ~ The crushed peanuts at the bottom is not nice, not smooth. Cheese is hopelessly not good.

 Looks like im little Bambee on the right.

  Now we know why the price is unreasonably high; For the washroom to look this grand. 

Food here is pricey yet nothing special.

Starbucks @ Damansara Uptown

I only drink Caramel Macchiato when I come to Starbucks and I am not kidding I always only order the same thing because frankly the chocolate drink in Starbucks sucks. I stood at the counter checking the board out then i saw the new menu so Daniel and I ordered one each. I took the Choc Cookie and Daniel chose Mocha Cookie.

We took our seat while waiting for our order, we waited quite a while and something doesn't make sense, it usually doesn't take them that long to prepare the drinks. So I went to check, the dimwits actually left our drinks at the counter and did't inform us to collect even though he saw us sitting there. 

I asked them the drinks were ready and you didn'f inform us? The boy just mumble an excuse if I didn't hear wrongly was it was just done. Don't bullshit me boy! Does this look like it was just done to you ~ My whipped cream is half sunk in my drink already. Don't they have common sense, would we just leave the drink there and continue chatting away? Seriously???

  Chocolate Cookie Crumble ~ Nothing special about this that makes me want to pay RM 15. Furthermore the appalling service we got just makes the drink taste even worst. Sighz customer service, the one thing food and beverage outlet in Malaysia seriously lack off; from no star to five star.

Walking out of to the streets, Daniel spotted this car, he is in love with the rims. Check it out! Daniel actually made me reverse the car so he can take a picture of it. Tell me what you think! I think its cool and it looks like there's nothing holding the tyre. Daniel said the it looks like its going to transform out like Transformers. 

Fast & Furious 6 Movie Preview by Adverlets

Woohoo I am going to watch Fast & Furious 6 for freeeeee..... Although it is a working day who cares right?? I arrived early and was dying of hunger

   Spicy Hot Ramen ~ I told the waitress that I only want siew pak choy, taugeh and crabstick. Look at how many crabstick did i get "2"??? CHEAPOSSSS! The least they could have do is give me more crabstick since I didn't want most of the thing. Soup was too spicy, tasted like its made of chili powder. 

People always say kids never lie, ever.... In this case I beg to differ. The sangat sedap, sememangnya bagus:  Clearly lying. The A value added meal: This is bullshit! Look at the crabstick. I think Little Taiwan actually inserted the comments themselves or those people are paid to give good reviews. I wouldn't eat there again even if the entire meal is free.

 The boys were discussing on where to eat? While us sexay ladies were. . . . . . 

So what do I think about Fast & Furious 6, hmphh, awesome as usual. Roman funny as always, the way he says thing, its hilarious; Dominic & Brian is way cool the way they walk the way they talk; Hobss with his huge muscular body its funny when he tries to be naughty especially the part he and Tej bought the vintage cars and torment the guy in selling the cars. Giselle & Han is so adorable together the way they have each other back. It is sad when Giselle gave up her life to save Han. 

A twist at the end of the movie, the movie showed the clip in Tokyo Drift, and it turns out Jason Statham ran into Han's car on purpose. His role is yet to be determine. Watch out Fast & Furious 7 is going to be amazing, cant wait for it to be out.

H&M Concious on Fashion Waste

H&M recently launched a no fashion waste. I found out about that when I was purchasing my barangs at the counter then i saw the leaflet. I read it slowly while waiting for the guy to pack my things. For every shopping bag you bring in, H&M will exchange it with a 15% voucher. WOW sounds really good right and they take any clothing ~ old, new, worn, torn..... but only clothing no slipper, toy, they are not recycling bin ya know! I went through my cupboard, took out things that I do not wear anymore place it in a bag. 

Drove to Paradigm Mall went straight to the counter and told the guy I wanted to bring in my old clothes. He went somewhere came back with the voucher, he tape my shopping bag, hand me the voucher, then throw my bag in the waste bin. 

However the 15% is only valid for ONE ITEM. Not ALL ITEM!
