Boat Noodle @ Jaya One

Finally after 4 attempts I get to try Boat Noodle.

Less crowded here.

Thai Iced Coffee ~ Okay. i like the container.

Pathumthani Chicken Thai Rice Noodle ~ Okay only, nothing special.

Ayutthaya Chicken Thai Rice Noodle ~ The sauce tasted odd. I had to take the noodles and put it in the Pathumthani sauce to finish it.

The table is so small.

I can only eat 3 bowls. Lousy me.

I've tried queueing at Empire Damansara and gave up after waiting in line for an hour plus. I came and queued a couple of times and left. I was excited when Jaya One had a new branch, it was new and not many people knew about it. After much hoohaa, I finally get to try the famous Boat Noodle. Disappointed actually, I expected it to taste yummy considering I have actually queued for this 4 times.

Petrol Price Hike >> Not again ?!?! =.="

OMG again, this is like the fourth increase already. Petrol increase, food increase everything increase but salary never increase... =.="

 No not this sweat...

This!!!

l remember back in those days when I was still driving a Kancil, the petrol price was increased to RM2.70 (if I remember correctly - many many many many years ago), crazeee! But one good thing came out of it, the roads were empty :) I was happily driving to work everyday without any traffic. But of course Public Transportation (Train/Bus/Taxi) were flooded with people trying to find cheaper alternative to work. Poor people. At this point food prices increase to compensate the petrol hike. I love to eat Mixed Rice for lunch, I take lots of cabbage, I would say to the aunty why so expensive, and she will reply 'Cabbage now expensive'. Mother her!!! GRR!!!! You think I never buy cabbage before... GRRR!!! Never mind no choice need to eat, next time take lesser cabbage see what she say.

Next round took lesser cabbage and some other veggie, still so expensive, ask her again she say now petrol expensive everything also expensive. KNS. AGAIN!!!!! This shows that petrol price increase is BAD. I kind off got use to the petrol price being at RM2.70. After a while, it went back down to RM1.90. Unfortunately food prices did not reduce. Petrol price increase is BAD! Let's say it together people petrol price increase is BAD!

I am thrilled since it will be cheaper for me to drive, but definitely not happy because food prices will still be the same. Whenever petrol price increases, it will affect everything else to increase, however when the petrol price reduces as the government subsides more, all the prices remain the same. This don't make sense to me. WHYYYYY!!! Then government decided to reduce subsidy for Ron95 and petrol price is RM2.10 and as of today RM2.30. Increase TWICE!!!! Great my chaap faan will be even more expensive now!

I would prefer that they kept the petrol price at RM2.70 at least all other prices are increase only once. Now that petrol price has increase by 4x, all other prices would have increase 4x too. Me being an average income earner find it hard to survive what more about those lower earning groups. I feel their burden/pain. They have kids to support and having kids are not cheap. Can you imagine if I want a Huskie as my baby, it cost RM5000 to buy one. I have to eat grass for a few months before I can buy one. That excludes foods, jabs, and any other expense that might incur.

I wish the organizations/companies would adjust our salary accordingly, based on petrol hikes and inflation and not to forget performance. *Wishful thinking*

The Humble Pie Co @ Section 17

Hot Chocolate ~ Nice better if it's less sweet. RM10 is expensive and there is no art on it. Only sprinkles of chocolate powder which even I can do.

Potato Wedges ~ Good, mayo is good too. Prefer if they gave more mayo, it's so little not even enough for the the wedges & both of us are sharing.

Tiramisu ~ Donna loved this. She said bagus!

Both Donna & I were really excited to try Humble Pie since we heard so much about it. The menu was kind off a turn off not only for me but also for Donna. They have Banana Pie, I can't stand the smell of banana. They also have Durian Pie, Oh Lord Durian makes me puke. It's normal for me to feel disappointed since I'm picky with food. Donna said the same thing, she didn't order any of the pie. They had Chicken & Ham pie - Donna is a vegetarian.

The mayo given was soooooo little, I think that they should give a sensible portion enough to finish the wedges and also to share among the both of us. 3 wedges and the mayo is finish :( We sat at the back of the cafe and no staff walk by, it took us a while before we could get it refilled.
