Kameya Japanese Restaurant & Pub @ BB Park

Team meeting lasted until 8 pm, inconsiderate people. I send Keng Hua to his hotel to check in and drop his baggage in the room, he ended up changing his clothes. Such a girl right! We were rounding for a place to eat but I got tired of rounding so we ate at BB Park.

We waited for our food for quite a while, they didn't even serve the drinks first. I was thinking that the food must be super good since it's taking them three times longer than normal kitchen.

 Green Tea.

Sleepy Head ~ Fell asleep before the food came. We must really be boring.

Chawan Mushi ~ This is the best food compared to the rest that we ordered.

Tori Karaage ~ Taste like normal fried chicken.

Muscle with Cheese ~ I think the cheese is overcooked, tasted a lil burned.

Tempura ~ You can taste the flour :/

Tempura Soba ~ The soup tasted funny, a weird kind of sweet.

Tempura Udon ~ The soup tasted weird, i like udon but in this time i threw half of it away. The taste was revolting.

Buta Chigenabe ~ So so, I like the pork inside but the veggies were really miserable and not worth RM 25.

This is one of the worst Japanese food I had in a long long time. The price is not cheap for the quality that we got and not to mention we waited pretty long for the food to come. Sorry but I will not come again even if the meal is free.

Mr. & Ms. @ Oasis Damansara

  Guess which is mine? :D

 It was pack.

I was nicely hugging my pillows then some people complained that the table was too low and uncomfortable to eat, so we had to move :/

Mocha ~ Told the waiter less coffee, he said not too worry our coffee is all one shot. Then I had to ask for milk still.

AND they charge me 50 cents for this???? WERT!!!

The Vegan Big Brekky ~ Dont look too big. I like the mushrooms. They forgotten the sausage had to bring it separately.

This tasted weird, I can't quite put my finger on it on what is wrong.

The Eggs Benedict ~ Doesn't look appetizing right?? Fair but presentation wise it's horrible.

I like how this old pipe make the sink look classy.

  Are you this?

Or are you this? I am this :)

This cafe was very badly organized, there were too many customers without enough hands on deck. They could not handle the crowd; it took them 15 minutes to serve our drinks then another 40 for our food. People kept pouring in and you notice that many of the seated ones have not been served. They did not stock enough dessert, when I wanted to order, they told me it was finished and the ones left are reserved. I complained that it's only midday, the waiter said we didn't expect the crowd to be this many. Fei Yan was chatting up the waiter earlier and we found out that they have been opened for 3 weeks. Come on, I am sure that the crowd would not just pop out of thin air, they had to have known the crowd size by week 2.

I was rather annoyed with the big group sitting beside us, there were more than 10 of them and more keep pouring in. They occupied 2 tables beside us but it was not enough, the waiter had to keep bringing chairs. A couple of them sat at the sofa behind us making noise, laughing while waiting for us to leave so they can have our table. I wanted to chill some more but it is obvious they are eyeing our table. If they want to have a big group gathering please go to a place that can house them all and not annoy people at the next table to give up their seat.

Fei Yan went to get the bill; they charged us extra one set. The thing is Fei Yan couldn't eat some of the things in the set so he told them to change this to that and that to this. The waiter said okay, but in the bill they charged us for things Fei Yan exchanged which doesn't make sense. Fei Yan told the manager (a pretty looking lady) that the bill was incorrect. As pretty as she look, she looked unpleasantly at Fei Yan and said could you check it again? Do you think we are blind or stupid that we purposely have nothing else better to do but to tell you that the bill is wrong??

He explained that he changed a couple of the things because he could not eat it. Instead of apologizing, she sounded the waiter loudly for charging wrongly. She cancelled the bill and gave Fei Yan a new bill with that "look" again. This shows that never judge a book by its cover especially a pretty one. I guess what I am trying to say is you wouldn't have expect that kind of service or attitude from someone who looked like that. Fei Yan was rather upset with the way he was treated, I agreed plus the 50 cents of milk; oh yes 50 cents, it's not the amount that I was charged it's the principle. We are never coming back here again.

Ikan Bakar Kedai No3 @ Jalan Bellamy

Look at all the squid... I want to have them all... How they cook so many at one go??

The chili on the left SYOK! But be warn it is spicy!

 Ikan Pari Pari.

The squid is super good especially with the sauce. Freshly grilled.

Be warned that this place is really hot as the roof is made of zinc and no air-cond only fan. Don't try to be fashionable, wear sexy and lots of make up. It's all going to melt in your ikan bakar. But the food is really good and worth sitting in the sauna.

Butter N Beans @ Happy Mansion

Be warned that this cafe is super small that if i were to accidentally launch an air-biscuit, it will fill up the whole cafe. You can't even gossip without the next table listening to every word you say.

Drinks menu are on the wall.

  Complimentary water, self service.

Machiato ~ Fei Yan said this was good: KAO enough!

Hot Mocha ~ I told the girl that I don't want too much coffee. I took a sip i had to ask for milk to counteract the strong coffee. Then this cute barista step into the counter, I asked him to pour away some coffee to make way for the milk. No I am not finding an excuse to talk with him. He said I should have ask for one shot, I said I asked for lesser coffee. He said lesser coffee its still 2 shot just lesser. I said where were you just now :D

The girls that were fidgeting with the machine making my coffee didn't do it properly.

The plain croissant is really good with butter, they toasted it before serving. The  chocolate croissant I don't like. Tasted funny, chocolate in bread is an odd thing, it's like a boy wearing skirt or strawberry jam on corn. Please be warned that the tinsy-winsy piece of butter cost RM 1. I found out after I ordered a second piece of croissant. I complained that I was already charged once why another RM 1. She said it is supposed to be RM 1 PER PIECE and she actually did me a favor by only charging me RM 2 despite me refilling many times and it is stated in the sign. What sign?? Then she pulled out the sign which is super small that you probably miss once you stared at the croissants. ARGH!@!@!@@#!!!#!@#$ If you are going to charge me RM 1 per piece, please be decent enough to give me a considerable size and not that kuci rat size which is not even enough for 1/4 of the bread.

Apple Crumble ~ Fei Yan said this was really good. He finished the whole thing himself without leaving a tiny piece for me. HAHA. I don't eat apple so he can have it allll!

The bakery here is pretty decent, I like my croissant but the drink not at all. The croissant is not enough to make me want to come back to this shoddy place. I don't like how they charge RM 1 per piece for butter alone, to me it's ridiculous. Boycott!

Coffee Famille @ Sunsuria Avenue

Not to worry although Sunsuria sounds like it's located on some distant planet it's actually in Kota Damansara. You can see Tune Hotels right opposite of Giza, Sunsuria is where Tune Hotels is. You need to go through the booth and park, unfortunately I have not figure out where the basement parking is, so I parked outside the Club. I waited for the security to walk past; parked and ran. I don't want to risk him stopping me from parking and giving me the lecture of this is jockey for club members, bla bla blaaaa...

I was sitting inside, the waiter / owner i think didn't take my order so I walked right to the counter and sat right in front of him, he can't ignore me now can he. Unfortunately for me, 2 people who came in sat at my table, I can't be rude and say get lost I came first. I didn't actually leave my stuff there. So I sat outside, yes you heard me "outside" in the humid weather. Thankfully it was windy, so I didn't really felt hot. I was watching the doggies downstairs running here and there. Looking at them makes me want to have my own pet, they definitely would be able to keep me sane. Sighz mimi hate pets, she warned me no pets allowed or me OUT OF THE HOUSE together with the pet.

Hot Chocolate ~ I could barely taste the chocolate, very very very light taste of chocolate. I was wondering was I drinking milk with sprinkled chocolate powder? What a waste of money, sheeshhh!

Tiramisu ~ This was more of a sponge cake than the normal tiramisu with mousse.  The cheese in it was rather sour and left an odd taste in my mouth. I can't say i like it one bit. Total bill cost me RM 22, I felt rather cheated at the end of the meal. I am most certainly not coming back here ever again.

De' Amour Cafe @ Kota Damansara

I drove pass this cute cafe and saw lots of flowers outside, that only means one thing. Its new! I came back another day just to give it a try.

I appreciate when one of the owner came over and offered to close the curtains for my privacy. Though it doesn't cover much but it's the thought that counts.

Mocha ~ Coffee overpowered the chocolate, I asked for milk to counteract the coffee. J&D Espresso makes very good mocha.

Creamy Pumpkin Soup ~ Not creamy enough but not a bad attempt; the soup could use a little more cream and pumpkin. I like the bread especially when I dip it in the soup. The pumpkin soup in PH Pastry is superb.

Eggs Benedict ~ The only thing nice is the ham but ham is always good regardless. Egg was tasteless, so it wasn't helpful that the yolk was all over my bread. I never like yolk except with sambal belacan.

Tiramisu Mille Crepe ~ Not bad but since Ive tried mille crepe at Vanilla Mille Crepe, Paradigm and Winter Lover, Kota Damansara this mille crepe could do with a lil boost in size, outer layer of the cake is a lil rough and not rich enough.

French Milk Mille Crepe ~ Not too bad; size of the cake, texture and richness could use improvement too.

I was sitting the normal table till I saw this adorable spot then I switched place. See the plain water on the table, after I left I realize they charged me RM 2 for that. OMG!! Seriously ! If I know I would have refill 50x and ta pao it home. The air ventilation at this spot was not very good, I was sweating. If they can make this area cooler that would be great.

For those who doubt me saying that the shop charged me for the water, here is the proof.

The owner was polite enough to come over while handing the bill, asked how was the meal. In my mind "Hmm you shouldn't have ask me, now I would have to tell the truth and risk you poisoning me the next time I come". I said sure I'll tell you once you bring my change. HEHE "Better take my money, after I open my mouth he might not want to return my change, HAHA Kidding"....

I explain to him from the drink to the sandwich what was wrong with it and how he could improve. I didn't tell him about the cakes and the air-con ventilation as I felt that he has enough from me already. I bet he regrets asking me now :) I told him I like the concept of his cafe if he could improve on the food i am sure that his cafe will stand out.

I know that it is not easy to open a restaurant or cafe. I can easily comment but I could also easily just make all the same mistakes if I open one. I think good reviews and bad reviews are what separates the average, bad, and excellent restaurant. If reviews are not important that would mean all restaurants are equally good or equally bad. You can either take my review as a challenge to improve yourself or you can treat my review as crap. I'm fine with both.

Nando's @ Jaya One

Nando's is one of my favorite chicken restaurant apart from KFC. They somehow manage to make the chicken meat tender and juicy and you can taste the peri sauce in the meat.

Mild Peri Peri (Spice Rice & Sweet Potato) ~ Chicken was good as expected, rice a lil funny its like eating rice with pepper.

Hot Peri Peri (Coleslaw & Peri Corn) ~ I love hot, chicken was good as expected; I would prefer if they cut the corn in half for me then it would be easier for me to cut out the corn and make it into corn in cup but without the cup. The coleslaw didn't taste as nice as it used to, hmm but I can't quite put my finger on it tasted raw and crunchy.
