Uncle K Kopitiam @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail

I think they need a new menu.

Teh Tarik (RM 2.50) ~ Too thick.

Ice Lemon Tea (RM 2.50) ~ Bitter.

Toasted Bread with Butter (RM 3.80) ~ Way too much planta so the bread is kinda disgusting. They use margarine instead of butter. 

Sambal Sotong (RM 4.80) ~ Sotong is cold and tough, sambal is not very pleasant either.

Sizzling Chicken Chop (RM 18.80) ~ Okay.

Me and my Friends went to Uncle K in Taman Tun on the 5th April 2015 and tried to place some order but it was very frustrating:

The staff or order taker there do not understand simple English or Malay, after sometime has past, we had to call another staff that understand simple English & Malay.

While putting in our order, we were told the hot food (all fried rice or noodle menu) cook is not available because he is on his break. so we were left with not much choice of food in the menu, we had to order only those food that have been prepared earlier the day.

So we went ahead to order those food and after finishing our meal and ask for the bills, we were shock to find the meals and drinks very expensive and unreasonable according to mamak stall standard.

Breakdown of the price of the meal we ordered:

- 3 layer tea - RM5.80
- Teh O Ice - RM2.20
- Limau Panas - RM2.50
- Milo Ice - RM4.00
- Mee Mamak - RM8.30
- Nasi Lemak Ayam - RM12.80
- Nasi Lemak Dagin - RM12.80
- Briyani with one Sayo & Fried Chicken - 9.80
Sub-total = RM58.20
10% Service Tax - RM5.82
6% GST - RM3.49
Rounding - -RM0.01
Total: RM67.50

What was most ridiculous was the service is terrible and they charge 10% service charge.

There is no G.S.T registration number or certificate displayed in the premises.

We felt cheated and will not be stepping foot in this so called Uncle K FOREVER.

We will also lodge a complaint to MDTCC about the authenticity of their 6% G.S.T and ridiculous 10% service tax...

We have a copy of the receipt and it is also not clearly printed, when we ask the cashier, the answer is i don't know...

Unsatisfied and cheated customer.

@RBS Synergy: Sorry that your friends & yourself had such a lousy time there. For me the menu was looking sad torn to bits (at the rate they are charging, they could at least replace the menu), food was cold and unpleasant.

I understand your frustration especially when they don't understand what are you talking about.

I think they are more like atas mamak style if u know what I mean. As for the GST, some of the shops I go to don't even separate out GST but add it into the food pricing. Equally evil.
